Bruhn NewTech was established in 1990 as a separate business dedicated to the development and export of the Bruhn NewTech software package named “NBC-ANALYSIS”. The establishment followed a year of successful sales of the NBC-ANALYSIS software to civil defence authorities in Denmark and the first sale to the Danish Ministry of Defence.
Bruhn NewTech introduced NBC-ANALYSIS to a NATO expert group in May 1990, and a few months later Iraq invaded Kuwait marking the beginning of the first Gulf War. From this moment the need for Bruhn NewTech's software became urgent, and both the US and the UK started negotiations with Bruhn NewTech. The UK MoD decided to bring NBC-ANALYSIS to the Gulf War as the primary NBC warning and reporting system of all British Forces Middle East (BFME).
The software performed well and the result was several sales to NATO countries. This provided the foundation for the development of the Bruhn NewTech Company.
